Damages to Ratu Cakobau Park caused by Tropical Cyclone Ana has forced organisers to shift the anticipated Fiji Bitter Tabadamu 7s to May.

Tournament organiser Jone Turaganiqali said because of the works continuing at Ratu Cakobau and the tight deadline the tournament will be held in Suva.

“The new venue is Bidesi and Buckhurst ground and it will be held in Suva on Friday, May 28 and Saturday 29,” confirmed Turaganiqali.

“All major teams are still confirmed and we are still looking forward to a great tournament.

We regret any inconvenience caused which was beyond our control.”

Turaganiqalu added that all teams that have made payments, that all finances remain secure and their registration confirmed for the new date.

The Tabadamu 7s team is the current reigning champions.
